DO IT ONESELF WORKSHOP
During March I'll be leading a workshop designing and making Torch Lights using simple hand tools and craft methods - a uniquely possible endeavor now, where electronics are accessible, easy to use and can be brought into the age old tradition of hand work.
As well as the practicalities of Torch making we will explore the comparisons between the New Maker Movement and Arts & Crafts through the writings of John Ruskin. The Workshop will be hosted at the Victoria & Albert Museum is open to sign up for.
Atipico collaborates with Fabrica to design À TABLE, a tableware collection that celebrates all the dining habits of the countries of the world.
The Shrines Collection is now available on the L'ArcoBaleno Online Design Portal.
The distinctiveness of this object is the bringing together of the artisanal and the industrial, juxtaposing folded sheet aluminum and hand carved wood. Its use-fullness is somewhere between a tray and a box for holding most things and to be comfortably held.
THE 7 LAMPS OF MAKING
The 7 Lamps of Making re-visits John Ruskin’s essay The 7 Lamps of Architecture, as a guide for 21st century making - translating 19th century craft theory into a contemporary design project.
PIECES OF WORK
"Pieces of Work" is an assortment of office furniture that aspires to be useful, but not overly formal, designed to custom furnish a Benetton Group Office Interior.
